The electric space heater is a must-have item for anyone who cannot afford the luxury of in-floor heating, or who finds that baseboard heat simply cannot equate to the enjoyment of sprawling out on your floor in front of a high-BTU electric space heater with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. Just plug it in and turn the dial to your ideal temperature, and prepare to warm up! Space heaters are safe when used within their operating parameters (make sure to not leave it by your curtains), and an enjoyable addition to a living room or bedroom alike. Many models now come with timers, allowing them to be left on to warm the room when one is sleeping. They allow different rooms of one’s home to be set to different temperatures, thus ensuring at least some measure of domestic tranquility, if not harmony. Additionally, they can be taken outside to warm a porch, garage, or even for tailgating in particularly cold weather. On larger boats and other seacraft such as house boats, they are the only suitable heating option, especially when coupled with a generator. They are an efficient, environmentally friendly way to warm your home year-round, require little maintenance, and are relatively cheap.
Our review on electric space heaters. My girlfriend and when we moved to our new home in upstate were looking for some kind of space heaters for downstairs. The air system in our home needed to be updated but that’s a future and expensive home upgrade so we decided to look for small space heaters for “the future TV and game room” because I am fond of my foosball table. However when looking online and doing some research on the most energy efficient since that was important to us. We found eheat.com and learned about the Envi panel heater. We couldn’t find that many reviews about it however we were sold when we spoke to customer service and how helpful they were. We also like buying US made products so it was a double win since we are environmental conscious. One concern I had was the wiring, however with the help of my dad and again on the phone with customer service we were able to set it nicely in the middle of the back wall so it can evenly heat the room. The room is 230 so it’s not large but enough to put our TV and a foosball table. However, it did a fantastic job of heating the room. We didn’t have to bundle up with blankets when we watch our movies and there was a small difference in our heating bill. Perhaps 4 cents more on some days. I recommend this if you are environmental conscious because it is an energy saver and does a pretty good job heating small rooms.
