Everyone wants to lose weight quickly – And why wouldn’t you? Why should you wait to lose 2-4 inches from your waistline, have a flatter stomach and increase your energy? So you can feel confident with the body you desire.

How is always the question? I come from “Bad Genes” and I’ve been working to maintain a good weight and fitness level for almost as long as I can remember. While I believe each person is different there are some general rules that anyone can follow. The challenge of weight loss is hard enough so I’m here to help. And what you read below won’t require any pills or overpriced exercise plans.

Don’t Starve Yourself. You don’t have to feel exhausted and weak to ban fat from your hips

Eating less is the first thing that most people think of when dieting. While everyone should be aware of what they eat I don’t agree with fasting. The lowest amount of calories you should eat each day is 1,000 – 1,200. Anything lower than that can be dangerous and can actually make it harder for you to lose weight. So eat what you need and eat the right things.

Limit sugar and starches to say goodbye to your belly and other trouble areas

This is a must if you want to look great in that dress you are wearing in two weeks. Sugar and starches promote insulin. Unfortunately insulin is the main fat storage hormone. It sends a sign out to your body telling it to hold onto fat and don’t let go. And the worst part is that most of this goes to your belly. When your insulin level is low it is easier for fat to leave the areas it is stored. So it can be burned with your metabolism.

Move around (No, this doesn’t mean spend hours on a treadmill or going to the gym 5 days a week)

Your body was made to move. If it wasn’t it would be shaped differently. I know what it’s like to sit in your car during your commute. Then sit at your desk all day at work. Then sit at the dinner table. Then sit on the couch. But your body doesn’t understand this, your joints don’t work right and your muscles deteriorate. It wants to move. You can take a leisurely walk after meals. Or stand up during conference calls. Or dance with yourself (or with a partner). Your goal is to lose weight and have a tighter body. And you need some muscle to do this. As a bonus – muscles require more energy for growth and repair. So you will burn more calories just being awake.

If you follow these steps you are going to lose weight quickly. And you are going to love it every time you look in the mirror.
